The Rock Creek Meditation Group is a place where people come together and meditate in silence. We are non-denominational, and everyone is welcome. Individual instruction is available.
The Rock Creek Mediation Group is primarily modeled after Zen Buddhism, but we also investigate the teachings of other religious practices and teachers, such as Ramana Maharshi and Nisargadatta.
We generally meditate for two 25-minute periods, interspersed with walking mediation. Discussions about meditation also are held on a regular basis.
The group meets every Tuesday at the Buddhist Vihara in northwest Washington, DC. There is no charge to participate; a small donation to the Vihara for hosting our meetings is suggested. Additional information.
